The Local Weather - I was there...

So the local nightly news is usually 30 minutes right?  And most people watch the news for the forecast of the next day.  Every night it's the same thing.  They run through any national news that's noteworthy.  They run through any wrecks or shootings that happened that day and they tease the weather forecast before every break.

Then they finally get to the weather and they have about 5 to 7 on air minutes to talk about the weather.  At least 95% of their allotted time is spent telling us what happened today!  I Was There!  I Know What Happened!  Tell Me What you Think will happen Tomorrow!  

But no - they cram in the 5 day forecast into the last 20 seconds almost as an after thought.   Why???!!!
